Bruce Finland has created and managed multiple enterprises in the fields of communications, adult education, and real estate development. He began his career as a broadcast journalist covering the US Congress and the Executive Branch of the federal government, ultimately founding and growing the largest independent news gathering organization in the country before its sale. He then launched the first satellite delivered training networks focused on professional development. Since its establishment in 2007, MED Developers has developed and acquired over 30 buildings in the District of Columbia, making it one of the fastest growing firms in the area.
Mr. Finland received his ABJ in Journalism and Communications from the University of Georgia, and Executive Certificate in Finance and Accounting from the College of William and Mary.
Hank Schlenker has been involved in the growth and management of several companies, including The Learning Channel (TLC) and RealNet Learning. Mr. Schlenker began as a consultant with Deloitte Consulting Group, then became part of the group that created TLC. Mr. Schlenker then joined Bruce Finland in the creation and growth of RealNet Learning, a company that provides sales and certification training to real estate agents. Mr. Schlenker is a CPA and has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from Purdue University.
Nick Finland leads the construction and development work for MED Developers. Mr. Finland brings a wealth of experience in the fields of construction, renovation and management of residential properties. Mr. Finland maintains a thriving single-family development firm in Savannah, Georgia. Since joining MED Developers, Mr. Finland supervises and coordinates all construction and renovation projects, including multi-family construction and rehabilitation.
J. Max Finland supervises facility operations and legal compliance for MED Developers. He has extensive experience in federal and local regulatory compliance, and works as in-house legal counsel. Mr. Finland holds a BS in Political Science from Shepherd University and a JD from Florida Coastal School of Law.
Doug DuShuttle is responsible for MED Developers' accounting operations. He has more than five years of public accounting with an extensive background in audit readiness and remediation, as well as financial statement preparation and review. Mr. DuShuttle has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Elon University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Darnell Lambey has over four years of experience in researching real estate markets and two years in real estate development at MED. Prior to joining MED, Mr. Lambey worked at CoStar Group as a commercial real estate research associate and interned at the Washington, DC Economic Partnership. After joining MED as an intern, Mr. Lambey has been responsible for identifying residential development sites and multifamily acquisitions. His other responsibilities include project management, due diligence, transaction management, and market research. Mr. Lambey has a BS in Business Administration from Saint Augustine's University and is pursuing a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University.
