Bruce Finland Managing Director

As Managing Director, Bruce oversees all strategic initiatives and development activities of the Company.  In addition to his responsibilities at MED, he is also Chairman and CEO of Realnet Learning Services, an adult education company which has graduated over 200,000 Realtors from its certification, designation, and continuing education courses. 

In his career Mr. Finland has founded and operated start up businesses in the varied  fields of news gathering, communications, logistics, and professional development.

Mr. Finland received his ABJ in Journalism and Communications from the University of Georgia, and Executive Certificate in Finance and Accounting from the College of William and Mary.

Nick Finland Partner

Nick has over 18 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development.  Beginning his career in property management in Savannah Ga. he quickly found a love for all facets of the real estate business. Soon thereafter he went full time into investing and development.  Since 2006 Nick has acquired, rehabbed, built, sold and managed properties ranging from single family homes to large scale multi-family developments. Nick is responsible for identifying properties, seeing the projects through the entitlement process, permitting, and construction management.  He leads the MED Development team focusing on affordable, special purpose housing, and market rate developments. With over 500MM in active and past developments he continues to grow the company with the expansion into new markets.  

Mandi Kernan Controller

Mandi Kernan has helped leaders in the property development space with their finance & accounting for over 20 years. In her current role as MED controller, Ms. Kernan oversees all aspects of MED bookkeeping, account management, production of financial statements and reports, and related internal business processes. She also supports MED leaders in communicating key financial information to investors and capital providers, and is critical to the formulation of MED’s long-term strategy. 

Ms. Kernan is a licensed C.P.A., with a Masters of Accounting from the University of Oklahoma and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Kansas.

Doug DuShuttle Chief Financial Officer

Doug DuShuttle is responsible for MED Developers' accounting operations. He has more than five years of public accounting with an extensive background in audit readiness and remediation, as well as financial statement preparation and review. Mr. DuShuttle has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Elon University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
